wow, that came and went and now we're already on 15,031! thank you uploaders, tapers, and archive.org for this amazing resource. I've been keeping track of some of the milestones and we get each 1,000 faster and faster then the last one!

Live Music Archive numbers
1,000 on Nov. 18, 2002
3,000 on March 9, 2003
4,000 on May 9, 2003
5,000 on July 3, 2003
6,000 on Oct. 2, 2003
9,000 on Feb. 17, 2004
10,000 on March 26, 2004
12,000 on May 6, 2004
14,000 on June 25, 2004
15,000 on July 24, 2004

Remember in late 2002 when you had to cross your fingers and hope that your contribution was chosed by random to be included in the nightly md5 check for inclusion? Damn, this place has improved so much since then.

Thank you Jon, Simon, and Brewster and all the admins and fan tapers! you guys rock the casbah!

Forum: etree Subject: don't you hate nitpickers? :)

3,000 on March 9, 2003
4,000 on May 9, 2003

That's exactly two months.

5,000 on July 3, 2003
6,000 on Oct. 2, 2003

That's three months. It took longer to go from 5 to 6 than from 3 to 4. Also (more recently):

12,000 on May 6, 2004
14,000 on June 25, 2004

That's a month and a half for a jump of 2.

14,000 on June 25, 2004
15,000 on July 24, 2004

That's an entire month for a jump of 1. Either the transition from 12 to 13, or the transition from 13 to 14, or possibly both, took longer than the transition from 14 to 15.

"we get each 1,000 faster and faster then the last one! "

I think I've successfully disproved that statement. :p ;)

Nevertheless, good job, congrats and thanks to everone involved. This place is an amazing resource! :)
